| IMAGE INPAINTING USING CAHN-HILLIARD EQUATION |

Image inpainting restores the missing (unknown, destroyed)
fragments of an image. It turns out that a modified version
of C-H is very well fitted to this task.
A short introduction to C-H equation will be followed by a review of previous image inpainting methods. The inpainting of binary images using C-H will be discussed in detail. Finally, the comparison of C-H and other available methods will be presented. The talk will be based mainly on the paper: "Inpainting of Binary Images Using the Cahn-Hilliard Equation" by Andrea Bertozzi, Selim Esedoglu, Alan Gillette. |
