| INTRODUCTION TO MONTE CARLO TECHNIQUES. APPLICATIONS TO MODELLING OF SEMICONDUCTING ALLOYS |

The basic principles of Monte Carlo methods will be introduced together
with their applications in statistical physics. In particular, techniques
such as Monte Carlo integration, importance sampling and Metropolis
Algorithm will be discussed. Finally, applications of the described
methods to modelling of semiconducting alloys will be briefly outlined.
